Nikos Papchristou

Mr. Nikos Papachristou is a journalist for the Greek radio and television station SKY from 1994, focusing on religious affairs since 1999. He directs the website www.amen.gr, which he created in 2009 to cover international religious developments in the Orthodox Church. Until 2010, he was also religious reporter for the Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini. He has covered such events as the election of Pope Benedict (2005), the general assembly of the World Council of Churches (2006) and the ecological symposia of the Ecumenical Patriarch (2003-2009). He has attended interfaith assemblies organized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Brussels after 9/11 (2001), as well as similar conferences in Athens (2004) and Istanbul (2005). He also provided coverage for the interfaith dialogues of the Ecumenical Patriarchate with Judaism (Thessalonika 2004 and Jerusalem 2007) and Islam (Athens 2009). Nikos holds a BA (Hons) in Information and Media Studies from the University of Brighton (UK).
