Jeanne (Ioanna) Knights is a Theologian with interest in the Primacy of Living Holiness as a Theological Source. She studied theology at Lancaster and Cambridge and has worked significantly in the Orthodox tradition. She is Director of The Holy Gardens of Patmos Project. With the spiritual leadership of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and working with Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia, the project is developing a series of Holy Gardens that bear witness to the way we relate our lives, livelihoods and relationships to the earth, a witness to the healing of our planet, each other and ourselves.
The project aims to contribute to the global conditions in which ecological regeneration and environmental sustainability flourish, by developing an ecological center open to the spiritual meaning of a right relationship with the world of nature, with an outstanding program of sustainability education, learning, training and research centered on Patmos Island, Greece.
