Sister Theosemni

Sister Theosemni was born in Chania, Crete. She studied Classical Studies at the University of Crete (Greece). She also holds a Master’s degree in Classics from the University of Nottingham (UK) and a Ph.D. in Ethics and Sociology from the University of Thessaloniki (Department of Theology), with a dissertation entitled: Man and the World: The Dialectic of the Cosmology of Maximus the Confessor and of Destiny in Aeschylusá’s Tragedies (published in 2010). Since 2002, she is a nun of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Life-Giving Spring (Chrysopigi) in Chania, Crete. She works together with other sisters on the educational and editorial programs of the Monastery.
