V. Rev. Dr. Anton C. Vrame
Rev. Anton C. Vrame, Ph.D. is Director of the Department of Religious Education for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. He is Adjunct Associate Professor of Religious Education at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He is well known for his many writings and presentations on topics of Orthodox Christian Religious Education, especially topics related to curriculum development and educational ministry with youth and adults. He has worked for many years to develop textbooks and other resources. Since 2005, he has represented the Archdiocese of America to the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches of Christ, USA. Recently, he participated in its study group on climate change and violence. A native of Chicago, he holds degrees from DePaul University, the University of Chicago, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and Boston College.
