Dr. Marios Koukounaras-Liagkis
Marios Koukounaras-Liagkis studied Theology (BA, MA, PhD) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Greek Philology (BA) at the Democretian University of Thrace. He has worked as a Religious Education teacher in Secondary Education from 2003 to 2013. In 2011, he was elected Lecturer of Religious Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Faculty of Theology. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as Consultant to the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs and took part in national and international conferences as well as publishing in journals in Greece and abroad. He is the author of three books on pedagogy and the sociology of religion. He was academic visitor at UCL-Institute of Education, and he teaches at Primary Education Department and Social Theology of NKUA. His current position is Assistant Professor at the Department of Theology (School of Theology) at the University of Athens.
