Dr. Rossitza Schroeder

Rossitza Schroeder is associate professor of art and religion at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She is a Byzantine art historian and has published extensively on the relationship between monastic practice and the visual arts. At present, she is working on the Byzantine sources of Gentile Bellini’s portrait of the conqueror of Constantinople, Mehmed II.
