George P. Nassos
Dr. George Nassos is principal of George P. Nassos & Associates (www.georgepnassos.com), a consulting company focusing on renewable energy and environmental sustainability. He also leads Sustainable Energy Systems (www.ses-il.com), marketing a new waste-to-energy technology. Over the past 14 years, he was Industry Associate Professor and Director of the M.S. in Environmental Management and Sustainability program at Illinois Institute of Technology’s business school until retirement in 2011. He taught the sustainability capstone course since 1999 and has about 300 graduates/disciples preaching sustainability worldwide. Prior to academia, he worked 15 years for Chemical Waste Management, developing unique treatment and disposal technologies, and 16 years for International Minerals & Chemical Corp. in various managerial positions, the last four years in Germany and the Netherlands. He is a member of the (Greek Orthodox) Archdiocesan Advisory Committee on Science and Technology. He earned a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Northwestern University) and an MBA (Northwestern-Kellogg).
