Dr. Kadri Özen joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2004. Overseeing a diverse geography of 90 countries including Turkey, Russia, CIS countries, the entire Africa continent, the Middle East as well as Pakistan and India, he is responsible for business sustainability strategies and private/public sector partnership programs serving sustainable communities. He is also liaison between The Coca-Cola Foundation and local businesses/foundations. Previously, Kadri Özen worked for the United Nations as External Affairs and Communications Advisor of UNDP and spokesperson for UN System in Turkey. Dr. Özen graduated from Ankara University as a Medical Doctor (1989), completed his post-doctorate professional specialization in Family Practice Medicine (1995), and practiced medicine until 2001 when he moved to UN. Holding a dual career of Medicine and Broadcast Journalism (1989-2001), he worked as reporter, producer, editor and presenter in CNN International (Ankara & Atlanta), BBC World Service (London), TRT (Ankara), Kanal-D, NTV and Show TV (Istanbul).
