Konstantinos Delikostantis
Professor Konstantinos Delikostantis was born in the village of Glyki on the island of Imvros, Turkey, where he completed his elementary and secondary schooling, moving to Istanbul for his final lyceum years. He studied at the Theological School of Halki (1970) and pursued graduate studies at the University of Tübingen, Germany, where he acquired a Master’s in philosophy (1975) and a Ph.D. in philosophy (1980) in the Philosophy Department, as well as a Ph.D. in theology (1983) and the Catholic Theological Department. He taught religion and theology at secondary and ecclesiastical schools in and around Athens (1982-1990), being elected to professor of comparative religion and philosophy of religion at the University of Florina (1990), from where he transferred to the Theological Faculty of the University of Athens in 2001, teaching systematic theology there to this day. He is the author of many articles and books on theology, philosophy, education and culture.
