Dr. Michael Evans
Michael Evans is the Vice President for Academic Affairs for Southern New Hampshire University’s on-campus program. Before SNHU, he served as the Provost of Unity College and the Interim Dean of the Indiana University School of Journalism. Dr. Evans focuses his research on expressions of indigenous culture through the mass media. He lived for nine months in the Eastern Canadian Arctic, working with Inuit videographers, and for three months in the Australian Outback, working with Aboriginal video and radio professionals. He is currently working with several American Indian nations on a book about Native activism in the 1970s. He is the author of numerous articles and five published books: two scholarly books, two novels, and a textbook.
