Sotirios Tsiodras

Dr. Sotirios Tsiodras is an internal medicine physician, specializing in infectious diseases and is currently in charge of Greece’s management of the Covid-19 crisis. Born in Sydney, Australia, he first graduated from the University of Athens in 1991 and received his medical doctorate from there in 2003. From 1994-1997, he was internal medicine specialist at the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, and from 1997-2001, he researched infectious diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. From 1998-2001, he was research fellow at Harvard Medical School, where he received an M.A. in Medical Sciences.
