Stuart Scott
Stuart Scott is a committed ecologist, strategist and educator with a long and varied career as the first environmentalist stockbroker on Wall Street, IT consulting for Citibank, software engineer for IBM, and university instructor of mathematics, statistics and critical thinking. He left academia in 2008 to engage full-time in climate advocacy. His academic, vocational and contemplative background, public speaking and stage performance, allow him to communicate complex relationships in simple terms to varied audiences. He devised innovative projects to influence the economic and social factors destabilizing the Earth’s climate and ecology. He is talk-show host of “Climate Matters,” seen at the UN climate talks and by on-demand webcast. He is credited with pioneering interfaith participation at the climate change negotiations with the Interfaith Declaration on Climate Change, now known as the United Planet Faith & Science Initiative. He is also Deputy Director General of the International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization.
