Vigen Guroian

Dr. Vigen Guroian is Professor of Religious Studies in Orthodox Christianity at the University of Virginia. He and his wife June live in Culpeper, Virginia, nestled beneath the Blue Ridge Mountains where they spend much of their time in the gardens on a five acre property with woods and meadow He is the author of ten books including two volumes of meditations on gardening, Inheriting Paradise and The Fragrance of God. His most recent book is The Melody of Faith: Theology in an Orthodox Key. In the past, he has been active in the World Council of Churches. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Center on Law and Religion at Emory University and over the years has served on many consultations concerned with the intersection of religion and culture. He is presently completing a book on marriage in the Orthodox faith for Oxford University Press.
